Hello everybody! I'm back from Hong Kong! It was really, really cold there but I love it! Hong Kong is very much similar to Singapore just that their branded items are a little cheaper than compared to Singapore, and their dimsum (especially prawn dumpling and salty egg creamy custard bun) are absolute tops! My cousin who lived there said he does not feel that there are any difference; of course, you live there!! *Laughs
Well, I still prefer Taiwan in terms of shopping and recklessly spending on food and transport, knowing that most likely it would be very much more inexpensive. Hong Kong's transport, shopping and foodstuff, other than dimsum, are comparable to Singapore and sometimes abit more expensive. Yea, STRESS! *Laughs! I spent like SGD 300 plus just on Pandora charms and a bracelet. And that amount is just for myself, not including the charms and bracelets I help my buddies get.
The H&M there is huge, like wow! Jx bought two tops from there and got a pair of jeans from ZARA and a pair of shoes from Vans. Good buys!

Hong Kong Fact #1

The taxi fare there is crazy! Four of us hopped onto the taxi at the central area, which was about a 20 minute (or less?) ride to our hotel. The meter was at HKD 20 for quite a very long time and we were exchanging looks like, "Wow, cheap!" Then for what seemed like the longest period of time, Alina and I got worried and wondered if the driver will charge us another price when we reach our destination. So we wished that it would just jump a little to give an indication that the meter was working.

Oh ho, we made the worst wish ever. The moment the meter started jumping, it jumped bloody non-stop; for like every 30 seconds or less, it jumped HKD 1.5. *Jaw drops* The total trip cost about SGD 14 for quite a short trip. In Singapore, it only cost me about SGD 16 from Buangkok to Clementi can!

Hong Kong Fact #2
There is no queue for the MTR, everybody just rush in without giving way to the commuters who wants to get out of the train. There are no reserved seats too and I saw youngsters not giving up their seats to an elder woman, graying hair and all. That's so Singaporean. *Laughs (Of course not everyone is like that in Hong Kong or Singapore, I'm just saying as a whole).

Hong Kong Fact #3

Some aunties in the eateries are just so darn impatient. One time, Jx and I ordered a meal that comes with a free coffee or tea.

The following conversation was conversed in Chinese

Jx: Our meal comes with a coffee or tea right?
Auntie: Yes, !#$%%^&*%$^&
Jx and I: *Stared blankly at her*
Jx: We want tea
Auntie: #%^!$%^*^% (Later we realised that she was rapping the kind of tea available)
Jx: Our meal comes with a free tea right???
Auntie: (angrily) I know!!! But you must tell me what tea you want!! #%^*&!$#^%^ (she rapped the kind of tea available)

Like super oh my gawd can... Spoilt my appetite with that lousy attitude of her's, her chinese pronunciation also was not all that fantastic and she was so inaudible for crying out loud!

Hong Kong Fact #4
some waitresses and cashiers are not very smart. I'm saying that because at the places we went to, they didn't do their job efficiently and effectively, drawing unwanted and unnecessary attention to Jx and myself.

First time was at a dimsum restaurant. We wanted to split the bill from our friends, and for what seemed to be a simple job, they got so bloody confused and took a very long time to settle it. We still had to inform the server personally, who also got confused and had to call in the waitresses to double check and all. All these were communicated so very loudly that people in near vicinity kept looking our way. GAWD! At least the waitress at the restaurant apologised for the confusion.

Secondly was at H&M, the cashier didn't remove the beeper tag from a top we purchased, and that set off the alarm. So the security came over to check our purchase and there were quite a number of people loitering outside H&M alright! I didn't kick up a fuss though and when the security came over I silently and coolly just passed her the whole bag without bothering to tell her to check the receipt. Jx was mentioning it halfway but I stopped him. Even when the security showed me the "supposed to be removed" tag, I just looked at her coldly and waited for them to settle it. Nobody apologise to us after the incident okay. Geez!

City Plaza on Thursday with Alina for some good ol' shopping! Though I just went to Far East Plaza with Jx on yesterday and bought two expensive (but cannot resist - the horror) blouses and a pair of flats for comfort.

Note to self - Start spending lesser! I need money to splurge in Hong Kong! Dying hair needs money, baking needs money, shopping needs money (not to mention online clothes that had caught my eye), eating needs money, and Hong Kong needs LOADS of money. The very criminal that will leave me penniless. GAH!

Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss (From Left)

Taffy Go Lucky - My favourite among the 4 that I have. There is colour payoff, a really awesome pop of pink with specks of golden glitter. It smells and tastes like those old school sweets or is it jelly beans? It does look awfully pinkish in the tube and swatch, but as everyone knows, VS Beauty Rush glosses are more towards the sheer side when it goes on the lip, so this shade has the right level of opaque-ness that manage to give great colour payoff without it being too sheer or too scarily opaque. i definitely recommend this and I will definitely repurchase this.

Juiced Berry - BERRIES! Great smell and great taste! This is very sheer and I find that this particular shade makes my lips look more pigmented. I do not know whether to like it or not. I detected purple glitter in it among others, which I fancy, reminds me of the glitter in cupquake. I mainly like this shade due to the smell and taste though. Yummy! But I'm on the fence for this one, and would prolly not repurchase it.

Melonrageous - This is absolute crap. Absolutely no colour payoff, and the taste was terrible. Smell was good, but I can't make out what's the taste. It is just bad - tasteless or glue? I do not know what to make out of it. There is no colour payoff that can at least convince me to close an eye over the taste. Seriously, even if you wanted a clear gloss, this is not what you want to get.

Mocktail Hour - I am sorry, I have not opened this because I was overwhelmed with many lip products and I did not want to open it and just use it for that 1, 2 time.

Okay, I know how most people had been commenting that Beauty Rush Lipglosses are very sticky, and I find that if my lips are well moisturised; time is given for the lip essences or balms to be absorbed, the stickiness would not be much of a problem.

Nude - Did not open this as well, but when I swatch it in the drugstore, I really love the nude shade with glitter. That was why I bought it right? *Laughs

Pink Carat - (Limited Edition) My sis prefers this shade over the one to the right (which is the one I prefer). It is a pretty pink without being over the top. This range goes on smooth and it is shimmery rather than glittery; which is good. It is very wearable for a everyday look. Definitely not as bright or dark you would think. I like it, but it is nothing fantastic, so I will move on to other shades or lipsticks. But it was a good buy. Wished I was in the States, it would have been much bloody cheaper and I could actually say - "Value for money!". But nooo, I'm in Singapore where all these drugstore brands are subjected to so many additional cost.

Sensual Rose - It has this golden sheen, and therefore when applied on the lips, it did not look as rosy/pink as seen in the pictures and swatch below. But it so happens that I love it! It is very natural looking, blends into my lips easily as well as blends with the colour of my lips beautifully. I think I love the golden sheen to it. It is not those common shades but also something wearable for a everyday look. A shade to look out for.

I do not find these very moisturising, but it did not dry out my lips. Just to clarify, I find it difficult to comment on the lasting power on lipsticks or glosses regardless of brands because seriously, the moment I drink something or eat something, any lipstick or gloss that I had applied is not going to be there anymore. But if you're talking about not letting anything touch your lips, then all lipsticks and gloss is going to last. Just most probably fade off to a lighter shade, but usually not to not being there anymore.

AND I hardly repurchase because I LOVE trying new products. I only repurchase staples, which only amounts to 2 to 3 products?

Current Lipstick Crush: Mark Lipclick Full Colour Lipstick (in Bare Hug and Toasty), Mark Lipclick SPF 15 Colour Shine Lipstick (in Honey Bunny), and M.A.C lipsticks

Miss Sunny Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips from Etude House - It is very moisturising and lightweight. Though it feels lightweight, it tends to come off a bit too creamy that if you have cracks or flaking skin, it will accentuate them. It has a slight tangerine scent to it with hardly any taste to it (big difference from Melonrageous which is weirdly tasteless in a bad way). I find it a little too orange-y and the consistency is not as smooth looking. But I sometimes like a retro look or a similar "I have just eaten an apple" lips. I find that eating an apple sometimes give this slight orange tint to my lips.

Mark Gloss Gorgeous Stay on Lip Stain in Bare - It gives me a more pigmented looking lip, and I prefer this pigmentation it gives compared to the VS Juiced Berry. It blends with my lip colour very naturally and stains my lip quite well even after some time - fades off very naturally, leaving a stained, moisturised looking lip. The formula is dispensed through a connected lip brush by clicking the top part seen in the picture above. It is definite "must try", but not a definite "must buy again". I do regret my purchase one bit.

Mark Gloss Gorgeous Stay on Lip Stain in Bella - I have not open it! Too many lip products to try out (I just realised I have another 2 to 3 lip products that I had tried, but I forgot to include in this post). But I got it because reviewers were saying how great this red lip stain is. Very good for parties and evening wear, that is not overly red or bright. Can't wait to try it out!!

L'oreal Made for Me Intenses in Red Passion - An average product, which turned out to be not what I exactly wanted. This is glides on too smoothly and with reds, matte is usually the way to go as it will stay on much better and tends to not bleed. Not that this bled, but it is not the true red that I am looking for and I prefer one that is without shimmer. So yea, I could have actually done without it.

Ettusais Lip Essence (Stick) - I actually quite like this as it not only moisturises but gives a pearly finish. I don't find it helping in circulation, which was the main reason to why I bought it. So due to hefty price tag and it not being able to live up to its claim, I do regret my buy.

Mogitate Kajitsu Lip Balm (Grape & Berry Mix) - This will land in my staple list! It contains real, natural fruit juice and honey! It really does a good job in moisturising my lips (much better than any other lip balms I have tried). It also did not cause an allergy which vaseline petroleum jelly did - in fact, it healed the allergy I got from the vaseline petroleum jelly! My sis had an sudden allergy due to unknown causes and was still persisting after a week plus, and requested help from me. So after a couple of days of consistent application of this lip balm, it healed her allergy as well!! Straight to the drugstore she went to purchase one for herself (in lemon). They have awesome fruity smell and pleasantly tasteless.

Paul Frank Lip Balm in Strawberry Banana - It makes my lips smooth but it always cause an allergy after a few days of smoothness, and then I will have to use my mogitate lip balm to heal my lip up. But it was pure torture during the allergy; lips were bloodily itchy and blotchy, and the skin will be chapped during the healing process. Pisses me off. Me don't like this! The smell and taste is very generic. So it did not wow me even putting the allergy aside. There is a slight, sheer colour payoff which I like, but the allergy was just bbadddd period

M.A.C Powder Blush in Dollymix - I love M.A.C blushes. So far this is my second purchase and it did not disappoint me! Of course I do my research on the colour first before heading down the store; long hours on the computer reading reviews and comparing potential colours. The previous one that I bought was in Pink Swoon, which i also love, but after using Dollymix, I will most likely not go back to Pink Swoon. Dollymix has more red in it with slight shimmers. It's sheertone, so it goes on very naturally and its buildable. I like brushing it on with a stipple brush or a fluffy brush as I find that it gives me a more natural flush and better control over the building of colour, rather than using a compact blush brush. It just allows me to spread the colour more naturally and evenly.

Here is a comparison between (left) Dollymix and (right) Pink Swoon. See how Dollymix has abit more red to it and Pink Swoon looks very pinkish and girly. Don't misunderstand, I still feel that Pink Swoon is a great colour, but I am just so in love with Dollymix now. The red in it gives me a more natural flushed look while Pink Swoon is very naturally sweet looking.

Hello everybody! Been busy these couple of weeks with all the assignments, exams, then Christmas celebrations. Not to mention, I'm back to working for another two weeks for the company I used to work at recently.

So, yea, I'll be fully enjoying my holidays only on January, going shopping, Hong Kong, visitations and what not. Jx is going to commission soon! Yesterday, he also got hunted by face hunters to do commercials for local brands like FairPrice and stuff. But he didn't give them any confirmation yet because he is currently busy with all the parades and commissioning.

And just to holler; I hate Dollar and Scent at Lucky Plaza (basement 1 I think) - the one handled by guys. There was seriously a rude arse indian man who thinks he can scare me into buying the products just because I took a few sniffs. I just told him I didn't like the scents and walked off with him continuing his rant.

For the record, even if I did like a particular scent, I would never have purchased from the shop because of that rude fella. He can go screw himself and rant on and on for all I care.

Jx's 21st Birthday

The celebrity of the day! He had to eat first because he knew he was going to be very busy receiving and entertaining his friends and relatives. And the number of people who poured in was no joke yo!

Yea, everyone has grown so much on the inside that just makes life so much more pleasant and enjoyable.

I am SO sorry for neglecting this blog of mine. I will do a picture post very soon! I feel like doing it now actually, but I am at work and I feel bad to skive longer than I should. *Laughs

I am having full day lessons almost every single day and I have an upcoming test on Thursday, which I had not prepared for. Yea, you can just shoot me right now. Sigh. Assignment submission next week and then it's preparation for group assignment and presentation. Sigh. Life is so gruelling.

I want to go overseas! I am, January 2012, to Taiwan and HongKong (hopefully) with Jx, and sometime Spring to Korea with my godfamily. I know I had not posted much pictures of my Taiwan trip, but I think I wouldn't be able to as I don't even know what the problem is and how to solve it.

But I will upload the pictures of Jx's and my peeps' birthday soon~!

Went to Paradise Dynasty at ION on the 3rd, Saturday, with my family and Jx to celebrate dad's birthday. Absolutely love the desserts there! The 8 Flavour Xiao Long Baos were alright, nothing fantastic. La Mian was good! The next time I'm there, I'll just have the La Mian and desserts! Yum!

Oh yea, we saw ZhiYong from "On the Fringe", Channel 8, 9pm show. One time was when sis and I was leaving the washroom. Another time when we went up the escalator. And my mom, being a mom, went "Eh ZhiYong!" I cringed the moment she said that because true enough, her voice carried and ZhiYong looked over. But he friendly, he nodded and smiled at us. I think my mom was quite happy. *Laughs

I went to the Comex Show on Sunday with Jx, Yan, Wilson and his friend, and Benji. Yan got a harddisk, Jx a printer, while I..... was tempted to get a new laptop. *Laughs. Pity. IT fairs are Eeee-Vil!

It was quite so rather packed, that one time, my cloth bag got stuck behind an NS guy and people were just squeezing in, so I couldn't get away. Jx was moving forward, but I was stuck (imagine tug of war, and I'm the human rope, one is pulling me forward, the other holding me back), so I panicked a little and involuntarily let out a SOFT scream while tugging my bag.

And then the NS guy smiled at me. And noooo, it wasn't a simple smile, it was a laughing smile (um chio)! Must be laughing at my silliness, so embarrassing! Even Jx knew that and didn't wait to point it out to me. Sheesh.

I went to ZhongShun's (Jx's cousin) 21st birthday party just last Saturday. However! The picture above is not ZhongShun but his nephew (Ernest I think?). Well, the theme was geeky and happened that there was a geeky spectacle lying around the house, so we got Ernest to wear it and he became the star of the night! Well, sorta. *Laughs.

Fullerton Hotel Dinner Buffet (Fy's Birthday Celebration)

The food was "meh". Nothing really special, the crayfish was was a disappointment but the raw stuff seems to be good (that's what I heard, I didn't try). Desserts did not exceed expectations, it was normal, like anywhere else.

I think you can already tell from the way I'm blogging about it, that it was really not that great. So yea, nothing to talk about. *Laughs!

But we unexpectedly caught the fireworks show!

Went to a KTV pub after that, ordered a bottle of Vodka and a Beer Tower

I looked awful here, but THAT'S NOT THE POINT! This picture is to show Jx's drunken expression. *Laughs!

Jx is buying me a Coach wristlet! My gfs and I just went on a virtual shopping at Las Vegas Coach Outlet with Michael (a few minutes ago)! It was a crazy moment, because it's 9pm plus over there and the store was closing, and stuff were getting sold out. My friend bought 6 wristlets! I wanted a large bag (Jx was willing to get one for me! =D), but Michael said his luggage could not fit a large bag anymore, because his mom bought over 16 bags altogether (not just from Coach) plus all the shoes, clothes and etc. So too bad for me! But I got a wristlet instead! Jx is paying~ So just buy only! *Laughs. Rather that than nothing~

Yay! I took a number of pictures with my love on Saturday before going to Fullerton Hotel for Fanyuan's 21st Birthday. Will post those pictures up another time when I do get the pictures.
I was prancing around at his place, and around him screaming "Take photo! Take photo!" Not really screaming, but irritating enough for him to give in to me with an exasperated sigh.

On a sidenote, I already do have the Taiwan Trip photos, but I cannot seem to upload them! They kept mentioning of an 404 error? I tried both my laptop and desktop. Both didn't work! HOW!

Another thing, Jx surprised me with the hand cream I had been wanting for such a long time.

It was 20 bucks for a small tube from Crabtree & Evelyn. It was recommended to me by Lelani.
I was contemplating about it since last year because though I tried it for a day and it didn't cause an allergic reaction, it still might, with time. And that is sadly, usually true.
But I just love the smell and how my hands felt after slathering the cream on. That was why I was in such a dilemma.

Well, after ordering our dinner, Jx suddenly said he had a tummy ache and needed to go. I was not a single bit suspicious and when he came back carrying something, my mind just suddenly, and weirdly thought that he FOUND something in the washroom. Weird huh - I also did not know why that thought came to my mind.

But when he stretched it out towards me, straight away, I was like -"AAHHHHH! Hand cream!" I was grinning away for the rest the meal. He just made my day with a surprise. I love thoughtful surprises. Who doesn't? =D

The escalator freaking came to a sudden stop and I was jerked forward and in that split second I was thinking how embarrassed would I be if I rolled down that escalator.
I was in no position to stop the fall, but luckily Jx was a step below me with his arm hooked around my waist - like how normal couples look when shopping around.

So at that moment when I lost my balance and my whole weight just pressed down, I apparently dragged Jx forward too. But thank goodness for his strength in that arm around my waist or I would have rolled down the escalator and prolly dragged him down with me too. I could literally feel the amount of strength he used in that one arm to support both our weight.

If he had let go - I fall: if he did not have enough strength - we both fall.
Nobody was in front of us to break our fall can~.

So when we were upright, I looked back to see the reactions of the others because of the sudden stop,
I think they looked quite shocked and angry? Was one of them carrying a baby? I'm not too sure. I also heard passer-bys commenting that luckily, there was no elderly on it. I'm guessing that the jerk must had been a rather strong one

I scalded my finger about 3 days ago and there is still a reddish mark till now.

All because of this ham and cheese omelette! I accidentally held on to the metal part of the handle. Gah!

I have been making it myself for the past 3 weeks because I have gotten sick of diluted/sweetened juices out there that I paid an arm and a leg for. My mom used to make it for me, but she's been busy while I am quite, absolutely free.

There were a few times that my classroom was rather small and about two of my peeps left because there were no seats or the seats were cramped up in some corner - like me! I was late for lesson and so I was cramped up at the back and at the corner. The person assigning classrooms is so silly. Count the strength before you assign the rooms will you?!

Taiwan Trip - Day 1 and 2 (will update this post again when I receive the pictures from our travelling mates)

We went budget on an airplane because we wanted to splurge in Taiwan (which we did). It was my first taking an budget airline as whenever I travel with my family, my dad would choose a commercial airplane with a standard, same goes for the accommodation. It's true for everyone right? Budget with friends, but quality with family (because dad will be the one paying). *Laughs!

First time getting on an airplane without walking through a tunnel. Definitely an experience.

Got off the airplane with a need for a stretch and a comfortable back rest. The space between the seats were really cramp, it wasn't so bad for me because I took off my footwear and sat cross-legged, whereas for Jx, he has long legs and it was really uncomfortable for him. The seats were hard and both the space available and seats made it difficult for sleep. But the we didn't experience any delay and the ride was smooth.

From Taoyuan Airport, we took the Fei-Gou bus to Ximending, Rainbow Hotel. The bus was awesome! It was spacious and the seats were oh-so comfy, it was like my body just molded into the seat. What a bliss! I would travel in that bus from Taipei to Singapore or Singapore to Taipei anytime! If only it was possible.

Our first meal in Taipei that night was from all the street vendors around Ximending. Very yummy! I will update this post with the pictures of the street vendors once I get the pictures from our friends (they were the photo-taking couple). Countless of photos from the trip are with them.

Well, this mee-sua (not the famous one) at Wufenpu was our breakfast, not really that nice - too much vinegar. Alina and I didn't really eat it, the guys did.

Fried you tiao, salted vegetables and some others were tightly packed with rice. Interesting, but can do without. Yea, our first meal that day weren't fantastic, but it got better!!!

Barbequed beef sprinkled with sea salt (you get to sprinkle it yourself). The best taste ever! The servers taught us the best way to cook itand to eat it.

I had a hard time with the menu as they were in chinese and Jx had to translate everything for me.

The whole set merely cost NT330 which was about SGD14.60. And we ordered another plate of beef which was about SGD7 plus? What a great deal! The ambience of the restuarant was similar to those in Singapore where you have to pay so much more for a meal like this. A really great place that people ought to go.

I found an irregularly shaped, Peanut Butter M&M from the packet that I was snacking on during class. The shell was harder and sweeter from the others. Peanut Butter is my favourite M&M! You may bribe me with a packet or two. =D

Hey~! I'm flying off in a few days time. I'm all geared up and wished the day would quickly be here already!
But I still need to do some planning, get my medicure done, charge the camera battery, pack my luggage and so many more!
But once I get back I would have to kick start my assignments once more (reality sucks).

I bought a Taiwan magazine guide (recommended by Kin) for 13 bucks! It was all in Mandarin, so it's kind of a pity for me, but there are pictures and recommendations of where to go, what to try, and et cetera, so I just decipher from there and get Jx to translate.
And guess what, I swiped Jx's card for the magazine! *Laughs! I called him to ask for permission of course~
I just might get addicted to using his card. Oooo~ Beware Jx!

Well hello there! I had been busy hanging with my love, my friends, celebrating 21st birthdays, watching Cougar Town and sort of concerning myself with the elections. I just went timbre twice this month, how cool is that.
And also got to see people getting crazily drunk (what amazing was that the very two who drank the most didn't, but the rest did -- including Jx. *Laughs!)

So, very soon I have to submit an assignment that I had not completed (not even started actually. Hooo) and I'm counting down to my Taiwan trip! Woohoo! So excited! Just for that, I'm going JB with my girls to get our nails done! Fun~

I'm going out for dinner with Jx and his peeps later in the night I think -- for spicy buffalo wings maybe? And Wendy's open at my place! I know it is not that nice but I would like to have the baked potatos!

Hi! The moment of my exams being over is finally here! Hoho!

So many things lined up in the coming week~ My uni cliques wants to go clubbing, SPCA and KTV. But first! I have to get my assignment done. Argh, bummer.

English Breakfast; real filling and the french toast as well as the potato cubes were yummeh! The scrambled eggs were nicely done and the streaky bacon was quite tasty. I didn't prefer the sausage though; it was a very normal tasting sausage.

Brunch at Wild Honey (Madarin Gallery) with Solefactory. A really homey and sweet little place which serves breakfast (whole lot of different kinds) the whole day. I would recommend it to anybody but do be aware that the waiting time tends to be rather long (even if you don't see a queue). It is a small bistro and patrons usually take their own sweet time in there. They will be chit chatting, drinking coffee, using their laptops and stuff. So yea, be prepared to wait.

A young boy (no older than Secondary One I think?) asked me for money to buy diapers for his grandmother. =S

I just got off the bus at Sunset Way to go to Jx's house when this young boy approached and started to go into this long story of him losing the money his grandfather gave him to buy diapers for his grandmother who would be discharged soon.

He said that I could leave my number down for him so that he can return the money another time. Well, I was of course suspicious, and asked him to just get more from his grandfather who very conveniently did not have anymore money.

So I told this boy that I am not living here, so it would be very difficult for him to return me the money and tht he should find someone else. Well, he tried to convince me again, telling me he how sincere/responsible he was in returning me the money by getting my number (which in reality he could have just ignore my call or whatsoever when the time comes) and even going down to SengKang to return the money. And when I rejected the idea of him coming down purposely to find me, he conveniently told me he will be around that area in the coming week.

It was then, I thought to myself that maybe, yea, I would buy the diapers for him and just be done with it. Even if I do not get the money back, at least I know my money was spent for a proper purpose.
But apparently! Shop and Save was having a promotion and his grandfather wants a receipt, so the boy just had to get it from there (which I don't know where it was - somewhere much further?) He did seem to be stunned for a moment when I told him I would buy it for (with) him. And when I asked about his parents, he apparently did not have any. So yea, talk about coincidences.

I got rather hot and bothered and just told him I did not have the habit of bringing cash (to shake him off - he was very persistent).
Guess what the actually said: "You can go and withdraw". In not a questioning tone mind you, but in a "telling" manner.
By then I was thinking that he could just go to freaking hell, scam or no scam. So I just told that he seriously should just find someone else and picked up my mobile to call Jx.
The weather was warm and I was irritated that I got abit hot-headed with Jx over the call. What a way to start our day. Sorry my love! *Kisses!

2nd incident:

Jx, JieRun, Xinni and I were doing some window shopping at Clementi's new mall and one of the shops we went into was Mini-Toons.
So this salesgirl said: "Welcome to Mini-Toons!", I smiled at her and thought that was it. But she went on speaking in Mandarin rather quickly that I couldn't understand a single word she said and wondered if that was part of a greeting. Because given my standard of Mandarin plus the speed in which she spoke, of course the words just went in and out again with my brain pronouncing it as gibberish.

So I couldn't think of a proper response - I managed a weak smile and shook my head ever so slightly before walking off as meimei wanted to show me something. It seems that my response was incorrect because Jx caught up with me and asked about my response to the salesgirl. I got worried, wondering what had got him to ask that because the whole thing happened in like a minute or less.

Well, he saw the salesgirl frowning after me and thought I did or said something that made her angry. When I told him and the rest what happened, we thought that her frown could either mean confusion or unhappiness. I mean, she was a promoter and we thought that she might have wanted to demonstrate something to me.

But hey~! I wouldn't be the first person to reject that offer right? So why would she be unhappy? So she must have said something else. OR maybe my smile was a grimace instead (oopsie!) because in that minute or less, I was thinking real hard on how to respond to something I did not understand. Oh well~

Jx bought new jeans and shoes too! Freaking expensive jeans, but it was smokin'~~ So I guess it was worth the buy. *Laughs!
And after that, we even forgot to ask the price of the shoes when we were already at the cashier about to make the purchase.

We were like, "okie, we want that" So he got his wallet out and all, the salesperson wrapped it up at the cashier, it was all cool and then I remembered.... "Eh, we didn't even ask what's the price" Then both of us just dumbly stared at each other before the salesperson quickly piped in upon hearing our conversation "It's 119 (0r 109, I forgot)" And we sorta heaved a sigh of relieve. *Laughs! Jx said he didn't thought of asking for the price because the jeans was already so expensive, and from his belief, the shoes wouldn't go more than that. *Laughs

Pretty much nothing to blog right now. But I went out with Solefactory yesterday~ For brunch at Wild Honey, and yogurt at Sour Sally! I will get the pictures up soon and rave about the food at Wild Honey. HOHO!

Oh my, I've only a week of holiday before my new term starts. That's bull! It is as good as not having a holiday because I have an assignment deadline to meet at the end of the holiday week. Goodness!
But anyway, now is not the time to mull over that because my exams are coming!
Did I mention I love my Blackberry? Well, I LOVE MY BLACKBERRY! I think it is awesome and just plain awesome. =D

I went to Jx's Social Night held at Mandarin Oriental and boy, the food were really good. There were Appetiser Platter, Shark Fin Soup, Peking Duck, Abalone and Sea Cucumber, Scallops, Mini Buns with Chili Crab Sauce and Alfronso Mango Pudding! I think I had missed out a dish, but I had forgotten what. Anyway, they were really generous with their servings and they were delicious. Their shark fin pieces were huge and each of us had a personal bowl. *Thumbs up.
I was impressed by the quality of the Social Night, but of course it came with a price. Jx paid for my share though. Such a gentleman *Kisses~

Really proud of Jx that night for performing regardless of the fact that he lost his voice and couldn't sing to the best of his ability. Some of the people thought he was nervous because he kept going out of the ballroom before his performance, but it was actually because he wanted to clear his throat and find a way to project his voice without the dry phlegm getting in the way.

I think he was rather disappointed because he was so looking forward to performing to his best that night. But amazingly, he was still able to sing well! Other than the fact that he had to keep clearing his throat in the middle of the song and strain himself to reach the higher parts.
But his antics were really cute and from the looks of it, the audience enjoyed it as well =D
So I'm really glad for him and absolutely proud of him. He totally lost his voice the next day though =(
But I believe it was all worthwhile for that moment, at that night. Hugs!

Hello! It's been awhile. Well, because of my iPod touch that my love got me, and my Blackberry, I hardly see a need to switch on my laptop and surf the net, check my emails, or find stuff to do while staying connected at the same time. So happy with both of my gadgets. Ahhh~

Yes, why am I on now? It's because I have to do my assignments! BO BIAN!
And my internet connection keeps going crazy on me. I need my resources! So work with me!
I had been in a dilemma recently, and nope it is not about schoolwork (well, to a certain extent, but that is not the point!) but over skincare products and cosmetics! I want to buy many, many products! But I do not want to rush hedge-loge into it because I have so many at home and I'm out out space to store them or organise them neatly. I even threw a fairly new and unused product that I presumed I would not be using much, just to make space for the new ones. Darn!

If you were ever embarrassed by a person in public, would you just stand there and take it all?

Take this scenario (from a Korean drama that I happen to come across); if a person splashes you with water/juices/paint/coloured liquids in public, and everyone starts to stare and whisper, take pictures/videos...
Would you stand there in shock or would you retaliate by displaying that you were not affected by it all?

I mean of course one would be embarrassed and shocked, and prolly would want to burst into tears.
But in spite of it, it is not better to hold your head up high and walk away. You know, save the crying for later?
Maybe for a bonus, you can grab hold of the person (no bashing), and smear whatever is on you onto him or her (maybe hug the person to get the stuff onto him/her), then smile and walk away. Then it is victory!
At least it would not be too embarrassing for you when the video or pictures get posted online. HoHo!

Love was in the air people! I celebrated my Valentines Day with my love at Sushi Tei! Second time being there and we will never go back to Sakae Sushi! Unless there is a gathering or we want to gorge ourselves instead of savoring the food. *Laughs

Jx is back into OCS, but he will be out tomorrow afternoon! Just in time for my birthday lunch with my family.
We had my birthday dinner on the Sunday instead since 2nd February is on the eve of Chinese New Year and everyone will be having their own activities with their families.

Shaolin

It was an extremely heart wrenching and heroic movie; I sobbed so badly during one of the scenes that Jx got a shock out of his life.
There were many scenes that made me teared and yet made me laugh at some of the humour injected into it. The action scenes were not too bad and most importantly, the storyline was able to capture my full attention throughout the scenes. I must say, I was impressed by this movie. I would recommend Shaolin to anyone who wants to catch a well-worth movie.

The Green Hornet

Not very impressed by this movie and was rather irritated by the main actor. I did not understand why did the director had to portray the main actor as some irritating, childish, dumbass-fool. His character made the movie just pure torture for me to watch.
However, the action scenes were rather interesting and cool. And the cars -- awesome! Fantastic cars, full stop.
Both Jx and I agreed that the main villain was dandy and funnier, and we anticipated his scenes more than the others'. Jay Chou really did well in this movie I think (This was the only movie I watched in which Jay Chou acted).
Basically, these two actors outshone the main actor, and overall it was an "okie" movie.

I'm in an awfully great, great shopping mood! I bought five different pieces just the other day and I'm still not satisfied! I want and need more! Therefore, I'm going to Nex later in the evening to see what I can find there. If there is nothing that I prefer, I'm going to get more clothes online! Hah!
I probably would buy some bangles and footwear later on.

Alright guys, the 2nd term has started for me and after reading through the assignments that I had to complete for this term, I think I can just go and bang the wall. BUT! I so dilligently completed one yesterday! So, I'm kinda in a good mood; I'll worry about the others over the weekends. I'm going to enjoy myself today and tomorrow!

I simply adore the use of my love's, cellphone's, camera's, shelf-shot mode. That was quite a mouthful there.
Lessons are starting once again, and I'll be faced with assignments and exams. The horror~
New year's celebration was a simple affair with Jx and friends at Orchard. We didn't party there though; just had dinner and caught a late night movie.
But we went drinking yesterday with his army mates and I woke up like this afternoon, still feeling all tired.
I want to shop for clothes! Like right now. I still have not collected my textbooks for lesson. Ho... I'll do so tomorrow with Jx accompanying me. It's so great that I can always rely on him to be there, may it be getting something or eating something that is of my craving.

My 21st birthday is on the eve of Chinese New Year! Again.

Christmas 2010

Home baked macaroons! Though they didn't look that professional and neat, but they tasted very delicious. Jasmine was so sweet in letting us use her kitchen and even taught us how to bake macaroons!
Jane and Hammerhead left after baking the macaroons because it was Hmh's 21st birthday and they were having dinner somewhere else, so they couldn't join in the gift exchange and Christmas celebration.

Seikisho Perfect Cleansing Oil
Retail Price: $35

This is my HG (Holy Grail) make-up remover! I still use an eye make-up remover for my eyeliners and mascara though. But this cleansing oil melts away whatever is on my face and seeping into the pores, unclogging them. It also does not have any oily or sticky feel after rinsing. I absolutely love, love, this cleansing oil!
Really ideal for people with oily/combination skin type; I can just imagine it softening any hardened sebum that clog pores.

Seikisho Clear Lotion
Retail Price: $30+ (I forgot)

This is another staple skincare product that I cannot do without. It removes any make-up and/or cleanser residue leaving my skin really fresh and clear.
And since it is mildly alkaline, it also acts gently to remove keratinous cells containing melanin.
No wonder I find my skin feeling soft and smooth, which allows better penetration of any following skincare products. With both the cleansing oil and clear lotion, my skin is less bumpy and much clearer.
However, I still do have/get blackheads, so though both are excellent products, they are not miracle products.

Junkisui Foaming Wash
Retail Price: $29

This is an average foaming washing as it does a rather good job cleansing my face and it does not cause me any breakouts. It is said to be of clay formulation which absorbs excessive sebum, and though I do see minor flaking of skin at my nose area, my skin do not feel any less oilier as the day passes.
My skin also does not feel tight after wash, so I guess it manages to not strip my skin of moisture. Overall, I'm comfortable with this product and will continue to purchase it.

Sekkisei Lotion Excellent
Retail Price: $82

A very expensive (or overpriced?) toner I must say. My skin does feel good with this toner. It feels nourished, hydrated and cleansed, and maybe with prolonged uses, as I get older, it will help prevent melanin and pigmentation. But for now, I think I can do with a less expensive toner, with other attributes more suitable for a skin like mine. Like controlling sebum, lightening acne scars and stuff like that, which I don't get to see any of those happening with this toner.

Sekkisei Emulsion

There is no sticky feel and my skin is well moisturised with this product. I try not to use too much of this on my T-zone area though. I believe this contributes to my translucent and suppler skin.
I might source for other emulsions or serums as this is not a product with properties that I will want at the moment. So this product can be put on hold first, like say after my scars are no longer visible (wonder if there will be that day any time soon), I might go back to this product which is said to help prevent dark spots and melanin.

Sekkisei White Liquid Wash

Not a suitable product for me as my skin feels bumpier as compared to when I'm using Junkisui Foaming Wash and Ettusais' soap bar (will review Ettusais' products next time). It also stings a little at areas around my eyes and mouth, and left my skin feeling a little tight after wash.

So, not a fan of it, and I have stopped using it though it's not finished yet.

I concluded that Kose's products were able to prevent frequent breakouts on me and were able to provide me with a much clearer, smoother, suppler, and translucent complexion.
The above products were not able to rid my problem of scars and blackheads, but overall, I'm very satisfied and pleased with my haul.

Appreciate my rare, raw, close-up photos; no effects, no make-up. Hohoho! I have this habit of cleansing my face whenever I go to my love's place.
I will post up more recent photos k (Though these were just a few months back)! Just that these were with Jx all this while and I didn't get them till now.

This was the view from the 70th level of Swissotel at Equinox. Jx and I went there for high tea, so we couldn't see the night lights. But it was beautiful all the same.

But we got to see the night lights of Singapore from the 6th level of UOB Plaza at Si Chuan Dou Hua! It was a dinner celebration for my mom's birthday. They serve some delicious dishes. The fried fish and desserts were yums!

My mom was complaining why the shutter speed of my cellphone's camera was super slow and thus, spoilt the picture by not holding her smile. *Laughs

I tried one last time before they and myself gave up on my cellphone's camera. And ta dah! I got aliens as my dad and mom. Hooh

So I just used Jx's cellphone's camera all the way~

Jx is currently staying at his aunt's house at Eunos because his house is currently being renovated and his aunt's house have rooms to spare.
Yay for me because it is much nearer to my home now and I get to play table tennis, pool and take the elevator in the house! I took it twice.... Because I was lazy to climb to the 3rd level (Jx's room is on the 3rd level). *Laughs! How lazy am I... Hah!

We were just about to go on a shopping spree! Well, I did, he just accompanied me. Such a dear =D

I just came back from a dinner buffet in celebration of my mom's birthday (Daniel and Jx were also present). I didn't really eat that much because I got full rather quick today. The view was great from the 60th level, and we got window seats. Singapore seemed to stretch really far from where I was looking from, and the night lights were beautiful. Beautiful country I must admit. =D

On Sunday night, will be the wedding dinner at Sentosa and we'll be staying over at the hotel, will be back only on Monday afternoon (Die, only 3 days left to study).

Life seems so meaningless at times.

Why am I studying so hard? It is to give myself and my love ones a better future. But in order to do so, I have to work really hard to earn big bucks. And just a question, what is exactly big bucks?

I used to see $4000 as holy sum of money, but with the ever rising cost of living, $4000 is miserable! Its ratio to the cost of living is not even close to proportion!

I don’t see the government trying to lessen our burden? A person has to be financially crippled before government subsidiaries will step in and provide free dialysis. And probably in years to come, housing would be too expensive that our future generations would have to pay off the loans that we incurred from purchasing a freaking HDB FLAT.

Yea, go use my parents’ taxes to support your government bodies or build some attractions that will increase revenues for Singapore but yet amazingly, doesn't lessen our financial burdens. It's alright, don’t have to bother about our ability to survive in this absurd society where everything is so stupendously expensive.
Kudos to you.

Of course, Singapore's government have their good points too, they are the reason I feel safe and stuff like that, but that's not the point of this post, so I shall skip those.

My lecturer also mentioned something of relevance;
Higher level of education = higher responsibilities and expectations

Which does not necessary equates to higher pay. Degree holders are not usually entitled to overtime pay and yet we are expected to perform better and work longer hours. Great.

I conclude that I’m placed on earth to study and work myself to death. Ho.

Yes, yes. My hair was cut real short this time. BUT! I have decided not to cut my hair for 5 years. I had now experimented with bob and "boy" cut before I'm 21, and I shall start next year with the resolution to have long hair, all the way till at least I'm 25.
